Stephanie Oteyza is the founder of Skin Therapy in Jacksonville, Florida. She founded Skin Therapy to continue her late mother, Aris Oteyza’s Avenues Medical Spa business. Skin Therapy is the culmination of her entrepreneurial spirit, passion for helping people, and obsession with skincare. 

Stephanie’s skin journey as a young teen obsessed with the latest trends in beauty and fashion. This curiosity leads her to receive her first facial from an esthetician at the Maison Blanche in the Avenues Mall. As an undergrad in the UK,  struggling with acne scarring, Stephanie sought professional advice from a Dermologica-certified esthetician. She followed a bi-weekly microdermabrasion program and soon understood the importance of a regimented home-care routine. 

Throughout her skin journey, Stephanie has since tested the waters of various skincare lines, from all-natural organic, independent labels to cosmeceutical brands amongst esties’ favorites. Well-versed in many skincare options, Stephanie understands there isn’t a one-size-fits-all regarding skincare. 

In 2019, Stephanie completed 500 hours of training at the Alpha School of Massage and received her esthetic license. She has since worked at First Coast Dermatology, assisting in skin examinations and MOH surgeries. In 2021, Stephanie launched the aesthetics department at iMED Spa in St. Johns, Florida.

Working within various medical facilities, Stephanie is certified in phlebotomy, microneedling, and dermaplaning and is an acne specialist. She received further certification in cosmetic ingredients through Concepts Institutes of Advance Esthetics. 

Stephanie advocates for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and takes a holistic approach to healing and addressing clients’ skin concerns. She consistently furthers her skin care education and strives to remain at the forefront of new skincare and wellness brands, technology, and modalities.
